The Zoe ZE (zero emissions) is a little, all electric supermini which took centre stage at Renault’s stand in Frankfurt.
The funky looking Zoe is a four-seater and features gullwing front doors and innovative butterfly-style rear doors which also double as the boot opening. Let’s face it, the legendary 2CV was a funny car - reverse it in a fast circle a few times and it would fall over! But many people fell in love with the car’s simplicity and bouncy ride.
A cool £900,000 can buy you the Bugatti 16C Galibier, a luxury four door version of the legendary Veyron.
Well, it probably can’t because the entire production run has already been sold by invitation to a select few at the company’s birthplace in Molsheim, Alsace. With the same 8.0-litre front-mounted W16 engine as its older brother, the Galibier is capable of 217mph.
Even though this funky little concept car is only 2.5 meters long, it can squeeze in four passengers and take them all on a very interesting and enjoyable journey.
The Peugeot team have had a very good week at the Frankfurt motor show by first showing off with the fantastic looking RCZ, then demonstrating their ecofriendly side with their electric iOn, and then completely surprising everyone with this new concept car, the BB1.
Developed by Volkswagen, the VW L1 Concept is a new and very different concept car. The L1, which can be seen at this week’s Motor Show in Frankfurt, will also be displaying its new VW ‘face’, enclosed wheel covers and tandem seating position.
Unlike the recent spate of electric and hybrid car announcements from a variety of manufacturers including VW themselves, VW have taken a surprising turn by basing the L1 on a fuel-fossil powered motor.
