Lease a Jeep Patriot from £299.99 per month plus VAT.
The 2.0-litre CRD Jeep Patriot Sport has chunky looks, is attractively priced, strikes a great balance between comfort and control being good both on- and off-road.
The Patriot Sport displays bold styling both inside and out and features the tradition Jeep grille on the front. It is admittedly quite boxy, but also looks sporty with its big bumpers and 17″ alloy wheels. It is very well specced with standard interior equipment too, with air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, a highly competent CD player, and electric folding door mirrors. And although the plastic trim could probably do with a bit of a makeover, it is very functional and the dials are easy to understand. There is plenty of headroom and the Patriot can comfortably seat five, and an average sized boot can be extended with flat folding rear seats. Other useful touches include reclining rear seats and a front passenger seat that folds flat which is perfect when transporting loader loads.
The 138bhp diesel engine can make this motor shift the 0-62mph time in 11 seconds, and is mated to a slick 6-gear manual gearbox, with strong acceleration and plenty of pull once the turbo kicks in.
Running costs are competitive for its class, as the diesel will average 42.2mpg on the economy combined cycle, and carbon dioxide emissions are 180g/km. On the urban cycle it can manage 32.1mpg, and 51.4mpg on the extra urban cycle.
You get a lot of safety kit with your Patriot too, with every model coming with front, side and head airbags as standard. There are stability control and brake assist systems for emergencies, as well as a system that helps prevent the car from rolling over.
A Thatcham category 1 alarm, Sentry key theft deterrent system and immobiliser take care of security for the Jeep Patriot.
