As the first anniversary for the new Ka is celebrated, Ford has loaded the existing models with more equipment and also added lots of new versions.
The Ford Ka line-up continues with the existing engines, including the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel, but the trims have been revised. The entry-level Studio is much the same as it was, but now gets rear head restraints as standard, while the Edge replaces the Style and includes air-conditioning as standard. The Zetec now has a flexible accessory holder and leather trimmed steering wheel, while the top-of-the-range Titanium models get 16″ alloys, an uprated audio system, chrome detailing to the door handles and exhaust pipe, and Electronic Automatic Temperature Control.
Four new ‘Individual’ models will join the range as replacements for the old option packs - Grand Prix, Digital, Tattoo and Tattoo Premium. All of these ‘Individual’ models have 16″ alloy wheels, but add on a bespoke interior and a series of unique features. For example, the Grand Prix model also gets seven-spoke wheels, a rear spoiler, a chrome exhaust pipe and a Grand Prix interior and exterior.
The Ka Digital also includes seven-spoke alloys and a chrome exhaust pipe with a unique Digital interior/exterior. Getting the same features as the Digital, the Tattoo gets added door and tailgate handles along with scuff plates and the unique Tattoo interior/exterior, while the Tattoo Premium features a leather interior.
Price for the range has been increased by more than £350, and will now start at £9395 and top-end at £12,395. The ‘Individual’ models are only available with the petrol engine, and will all cost between £11,000 and £12,000.
