Bugatti Veyron Drowns in Texan Lake

Posted in News,

Imagine finally owning your dream supercar, cruising around looking and feeling extremely cool. Then, instead of ignoring the ringing of your mobile phone, you decide to answer it when a low-flying pelican completely distracts you - you drive your beautiful Veyron into a lake and you end up looking like a complete twerp.  Nice one!!

This is what happened when a distracted driver was behind the wheel of a 1001bhp Bugatti Veyron.  The accident happened on Interstate 45, and according to the Galveston County Daily News, the driver from Le Marque in Texas said that he was taking his supercar out for a spin on the back roads when a low-flying pelican made him jerk the steering wheel, dropping his mobile phone.  Then when he tried to recover, the left front tyre hit some mud and the Veyron slid into the saltwater lake. The poor supercar gurgled away for about 15 minutes before finally giving in and drowning in the two-foot lake.
